Makkan Design is a luxury interior design studio based in Orange County, specializing in refined residential, custom home, and boutique commercial interiors throughout Irvine, Newport Beach, and the surrounding coastal communities.

Founded by Almas Shewa, the studio is recognized for creating sophisticated, deeply livable spaces that balance timeless design with the effortless elegance of Southern California living. Each project is approached with a highly curated perspective layering texture, architectural detail, natural materials, and understated luxury to create interiors that feel both elevated and personal.

 

With a background in design, production, and leadership, Almas brings a rare combination of creative vision and technical expertise to every project. After earning her bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University and her master’s degree from Chapman University, she went on to collaborate with some of the industry’s most respected home builders, shaping high-end residences inspired by global influences, contemporary architecture, and California’s relaxed sophistication.
